Traditional house building is a messy business! Whether due to unforeseen site conditions, inclement weather, skills shortages or an unreliable supply chain, all too often costs spiral, timescales lengthen and quality suffers.

TopHat addresses these problems by manufacturing homes in a controlled environment, removing uncertainties, improving quality and reducing costs.

Excellence is built into everything we do from design through to installation. Our proprietary technology enables smarter design and ensures that the quality of the product is traced through every step of the manufacturing process.

State-of-the-art homes

At the heart of the TopHat business is our state-of-the-art manufacturing business, based in Derbyshire. With c.200 employees on site, this facility gives us the capability to deliver new homes across the UK.

Alongside the manufacturing business, we have our development and construction teams, based throughout the UK, who support in the delivery of the new homes.

Your partner for every project

TopHat works with customers in a range of ways, either as a supplier, contractor or a developer, ensuring that our customers get the solution they need.

Contractor

TopHat can deliver your project as a turnkey contractor, managing everything from initial planning, through groundworks and into handing over completed homes. Our experienced construction team have delivered projects ranging from £1m to over £500m in value.

Supplier

TopHat can provide you with a supply-and-install service. We can deliver our high-quality homes to foundations you have installed to our standard specification. We take responsibility for most elements of works above the foundation levels, giving you comfort that you will get a quality product.

Developer

TopHat acts as a developer in its own right, delivering our homes on sites that we buy and obtain planning for. We can also work with partners to assist them in buying a site or obtaining planning permission on land they already own. We don't have a one-size-fits-all model, so if you have any queries, please do get in touch.
