TopHat has won the Sunday Times Readers’ Choice Award at the British Homes Awards with a Family of Four, a diverse family of high-quality home types and flats constructed from a simple set of four modules. Each home type can be configured with a variety of roof forms, internal layouts and façade designs allowing them to adapt to local vernacular and user preference. Our advanced manufacturing platform integrates design and production to enable this flexibility, and our facade technology allows for precise replication of natural materials at an affordable price.

This flexibility allows our customers to create developments from a wide variety of flats and houses within the Family of Four range to create genuinely inexpensive, multi-generational communities that are compact, safe and green.

At the British Homes Awards on 19th September, TopHat was announced as the winner of a ten-day public vote to select the preferred design for a home that can be delivered at scale to help address the UK’s housing crisis. Chief Executive, Jordan Rosenhaus, said “We are delighted to win the Sunday Times Readers’ Choice Award at the British Homes Awards. Our winning Family of Four designs combine industry-leading technology and manufacturing principles with great architecture to create high-quality, affordable homes.

With a commitment to using technology to drive ever greater integration of design, supply chain and production, TopHat has created a scalable platform to enable fast growth in the output of new homes, including the Family of Four designs.
